Welcome to St. Patrick’s Parish School of Religion (PSR). Our Mission: To proclaim the Catholic Faith through the spiritual teachings of St. Patrick, our Patron, in bringing our youth, young adults, and adult members, to a profound understanding and encounter with Christ. Our Ministry primarily consists of lay parishioners trained as Catechists & Youth Leaders called the Catechist Team - called to Be Echoes of the Gospel. Our community, like a Catechist Team, play an important role in the PSR by their prayers, and support in Building the Civilization of Loved, imagined by St. Patrick.
St. Patrick wrote, Hence I cannot be silent – nor, indeed, is it expedient – about the great benefits and the great grace which the Lord has deigned to bestow upon me in the land of my captivity; for this we can give to God in return after having been chastened by Him, to exalt and praise His wonders before every nation that is anywhere under the heaven.(1) St. Patrick teaches us that our personal encounter with Christ should be shared with all those we encounter – family, friends, and neighbors in Bay Ridge, and throughout our city. Our program should be a reflection of St. Patrick’s teaching that can bring our Community closer to Christ.
